The PPP store meets all current national, regional and local legislation; sits apart from production areas, packaging stores, living quarters and harvested product so cross contamination is avoided; is locked and secured whenever it is not being used; can be entered only by people formally trained to handle PPPs; is adequately ventilated; has measuring equipment for accurate mixing, including graduated containers and calibrated scales; has clean utensils such as buckets and a water point for safe handling (also at a separate mixing area); keeps PPPs for registered crops apart from those for nonregistered crops such as garden chemicals; and holds products in their original containers or, only after a breakage, in a new package that repeats all the information on the original label.
