A system makes sure only PPPs authorised in the production country are used, shown through reference lists (online versions are acceptable), labels or descriptions of the regulations. If the country has no official registration scheme, the producer follows the FAO International Code of Conduct for pesticide distribution and use. Extrapolation is allowed to the extent the local scheme permits. The producer keeps a current written list of the commercial brand products in use, biocides, waxes and postharvest PPPs included, with their active ingredients, and updates it when local or national legislation changes.
