GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard v6
Hygiene and workers' health, safety and welfare (FV-GFS 19 and 20) – GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard v6

GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard v6 FV-GFS 20.02.01: FV-GFS 20.02.01 Accident and emergency procedures are displayed and communicated.

Instructions drawn from the accident and emergency procedures are clearly posted where workers, visitors and subcontractors can see and reach them, in the main language of the workforce or as pictograms. They give the farm's address, a map or GPS location, the contact persons, a current list of emergency numbers (police, ambulance, hospital, fire service, emergency healthcare on site or by transport, and the electricity, water and gas suppliers), and evacuation procedures where relevant. Permanent, readable hazard signs mark waste pits, flammable installations such as fuel and gas tanks, PPP stores, bodies of water and other physical hazards; emergency exits and escape routes are signed to be kept open and unobstructed; and warning signs use the workforce language or pictograms.
