GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard v6
Management system: documentation, improvement, training, subcontractors, suppliers and stock (FV-GFS 01 to 05) – GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard v6

GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard v6 FV-GFS 05.02: An inventory is in place to manage stock on site.

What does FV-GFS 05.02 require?

A stock inventory makes sure that materials and products held on site do not threaten food safety and that items with a short shelf life are used in the right sequence. It includes bought-in materials such as plant protection products and ammonium fertilizer, and applies to both pre- and postharvest use (for example chlorine tablets, cleaning agents, fertilizers, PPPs). The inventory is recalculated no more than a month after any purchase or use; it need not be updated for months with no stock movement, and if a central function hands out the products, the QMS may hold the records.
