A procedure is implemented and kept up to date for controlling suppliers of inputs and services that could bring in a food safety risk. It covers assessing and approving suppliers and keeping them under ongoing review; buying in an emergency in a way that still keeps materials and services within specification; and keeping records of assessments, investigations and follow-up actions. Specifications that help apply the standard and satisfy customers are available and are reviewed every year or whenever something changes, whichever comes first; where relevant they cover packaging supplier specifications, acceptable licences or qualifications for service providers such as pest control contractors and laboratories, customer requirements and raw material specifications, plus the way alternate suppliers are assessed during an emergency or supply disruption.
This control maps to 2 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 2 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
