Bodies subject to supervision and their managers must give the supervisory authority, on request, the information it needs; a person may refuse answers that would expose them or close relatives to criminal or administrative prosecution and must be told of this right. The authority's staff may enter the body's property and premises and access all data processing equipment and means as needed, and the body must tolerate this (for private bodies during usual business hours, s 16(4)).
