Germany Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) S7: Manufacturer: product identification, name and postal address, German instructions and safety information, and cooperation

What does S7 require?

The product must bear a type, batch or serial number or other identifier (or, where impossible, on the packaging or accompanying document), and the manufacturer's name, trade name or mark and a postal address designating a single contact point, in a language consumers easily understand. Instructions and safety information in German must accompany it, and all labelling, instructions and safety information must be clear, understandable and plain as the ordinance specifies. On a reasoned request the manufacturer gives the authority, in German or a language it easily understands, all information and documents needed to prove conformity, and cooperates with it on restoring conformity.
