Those deciding to issue, maintain, extend, reduce, suspend or withdraw a statement meet ISO 22003-1 Annex C, know the Program in detail and understand and can assess food safety systems; technical reviewers meet the same criteria except that auditing experience is not needed, and one person may do both if competent. Assessment team members take no part in the decision on their own assessment.
