FSSC Development Program Version 2.0 P3-5.7: Serious events and upgrade assessments

What does P3-5.7 require?

The CAB has a documented policy and process for clients hit by a serious event: it reviews planned assessments, assesses the risk of keeping the statement (covering at least the IAF ID 3 section 3 aspects), records the outcome, planned actions and any programme deviations, agrees a course of action with the client, and may hold a full remote assessment under the FSSC 22000 addendum, noting the method on the statement. When FSSC orders an upgrade (for example a version change), the CAB follows FSSC's instructions, briefs staff and assessors, recalculates and tells clients the duration, and issues the statement to the new version once nonconformities are closed.
