FSSC 24000 Social Management System Certification Scheme Version 1.0
Part 4: Requirements for certification bodies – FSSC 24000 Social Management System Certification Scheme Version 1.0

FSSC 24000 Social Management System Certification Scheme Version 1.0 P4-2.1: Licensing: accreditation prerequisite, provisional and full license

What does P4-2.1 require?

A CB needs ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 accreditation from an IAF MLA signatory before applying, shares accreditation information with the Foundation, and covers multiple accredited locations under one license (or separate licenses). It applies for the sectors it wants, completes Integrity Program on-boarding, receives a provisional license, applies to an accepted AB for an FSSC 24000 extension, and may issue unaccredited certificates (registered on the platform) once authorised. Within 12 months it must gain accreditation (or the license ends and certificates are withdrawn), register at least one audited organisation and finish on-boarding, then submits its accreditation certificate and AB office and witness reports for full status. It keeps the license by meeting all CB requirements and paying fees; the Foundation may suspend, terminate or limit it under the Integrity Program Sanction Policy, and on termination clients are transferred as agreed.
