FAA AC 20-152A - Development Assurance for Airborne Electronic Hardware 5.10: 5.10 Clarifications to DO-254 Appendix A life cycle data

The AC corrects DO-254 Table A-1: the process assurance plan and hardware design standards (which include HDL coding standards) are HC2 at Level C; detailed design data is HC1 at Levels A, B and C; review and analysis procedures are HC2 at Level C. The top-level drawing corresponds to a hardware configuration index that fully identifies the configuration, the embedded logic and the life cycle data, and includes, or points to, an index of the hardware environment configuration so the device can be replicated.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • A Appendix A Modulation of life cycle data by design assurance level, and verification independence

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
