The European Parking Card is issued or renewed as a physical card; a Member State may complement it with a digital version after the Commission sets the technical specifications, in which case persons with disabilities may request the physical version alone or both. The digital version holds no more personal data than the Annex II fields, its personal data is encrypted, and technical precautions confine reading of the storage medium to authorised users.
