Chapter II (Articles 7 and 8): Format, mutual recognition, issue and validity of the two cards – EU European Disability Card and European Parking Card Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/2841)

EU European Disability Card and European Parking Card Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/2841) 8.4: Issue or renew the Parking Card on application within 90 days, with any fee capped at cost

What does 8.4 require?

The Member State of residence issues or renews the European Parking Card when the person with disabilities, or someone authorised under national law, applies, within a reasonable period of no more than 90 days from the application unless required assessments are still running. Issuance and renewal may be free or carry a fee, but any fee stays within the administrative cost and never deters persons with disabilities from applying.
