EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/1640) 39: Take supervisors' risk information and sanctions designations into the risk assessment and screening

What does 39 require?

Supervisors must make available to the obliged entities they supervise the Union risk assessment and Commission recommendations, national and sectoral risk assessments, AMLA guidelines, recommendations and opinions, information on high-risk third countries, and guidance and reports on laundering methods and risk indicators and on targeted financial sanctions duties, carry out outreach, and pass on designations under targeted and UN financial sanctions immediately. Obliged entities should reflect this material in their business-wide risk assessment, policies and sanctions screening.
