Activities of e-money issuers, payment service providers and crypto-asset service providers carried out in a host Member State through agents, distributors or other infrastructure under the freedom to provide services are supervised by the host supervisor (or the home supervisor where the infrastructure is limited and the host so notifies, with the entity told within two weeks). The host Member State may require such an entity to appoint a central contact point in its territory, which ensures compliance with AML/CFT rules on the entity's behalf and facilitates supervision, including by supplying documents and information on request; AMLA standards set the criteria and functions.
