The owner or operator must keep a written operating record at the facility, recording as information becomes available (for three years unless stated otherwise): a description and quantity of each hazardous waste received with the method and date of treatment, storage or disposal (until closure); the location and quantity of each waste within the facility, mapped by cell for disposal facilities and cross-referenced to manifest numbers (until closure); waste analysis and determination results under 264.13, 264.17, 264.314, 264.341, 264.1034, 264.1063, 264.1083, 268.4(a) and 268.7; summaries and details of incidents requiring the contingency plan; inspection records; monitoring, testing, analytical and corrective action data required by Subpart F and the listed unit sections (ground-water and clean-up records kept for the active life and post-closure period); for off-site facilities, notices to generators under 264.12(b); closure and post-closure cost estimates (until closure); an annual certification by the permittee that it has a program to reduce the volume and toxicity of waste it generates to the degree economically practicable and that its chosen management method minimises present and future threats; land disposal records for waste placed under Part 268 extensions, petitions or certifications with the generator's notice (until closure); the Part 268 notices, certifications and demonstrations for off-site and on-site treatment, storage and land disposal facilities; remediation waste site records under 264.1(j)(13); incinerator monitoring data under 264.347 for five years; and tank certifications under 264.196(f) until closure.
