A transporter storing manifested shipments in containers meeting 262.30 at a transfer facility for ten days or less is not subject to Parts 264, 265, 267, 268 and 270 for that storage. When it consolidates two or more containers of the same waste into a new container, or combines compatible different wastes, it must mark containers of 119 gallons or less with "Hazardous Waste" and the applicable EPA hazardous waste codes (or use a system under 262.32(c)).
