EDPB Guidelines 3/2019 on Processing of Personal Data through Video Devices 5.1(d): 5.1(d) Biometrics: delete comparison templates immediately and keep enrolment templates only for the purpose

As soon as the comparison returns a match or no match, every intermediate template made on the fly for the comparison must be deleted immediately and securely, and templates created at enrolment should be kept only to fulfil the purpose, not stored or archived beyond it.
