EAR - Export Administration Regulations 744.5: Maritime nuclear propulsion end uses

What does 744.5 require?

Technology relating to maritime nuclear propulsion plants, their land prototypes and special facilities (including specially designed machinery and components) may not be exported, reexported or transferred without a licence when the exporter knows it is for a foreign maritime nuclear propulsion project; no Part 740 exceptions apply; U.S. policy bars participation in foreign naval nuclear propulsion projects except under a section 123(d) agreement, while encouraging civil projects in friendly countries without disclosing naval information.
