Information must be redacted from a final review report where the Chair is satisfied it is sensitive review information: information whose disclosure could prejudice Australia's security, defence or international relations, would prejudice Commonwealth-State relations, could reveal a confidential criminal-law source, could endanger life or safety, would prejudice a fair trial or impartial adjudication, is prohibited or restricted by the Act or another law, would unreasonably disclose confidential or commercially sensitive information, or would disclose personal information without consent; where anything is redacted the Board must prepare a protected review report containing the redacted information and the reasons, give the Minister and the Prime Minister both reports, and the Minister may give the protected report or an extract to a Commonwealth or State body or entity only for incident-response, ministerial advice, intelligence or similar purposes.
