Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct (Connecticut Practice Book) 6.3: Membership in legal services organisations

What does 6.3 require?

A lawyer may sit as a director, officer or member of a legal services organisation separate from the lawyer's firm even though it serves people whose interests are adverse to the lawyer's clients, but must not knowingly take part in a decision or action of the organisation that would clash with the lawyer's Rule 1.7 duties to a client, or that could materially and adversely affect the organisation's representation of a client whose interests are adverse to one of the lawyer's own clients.
