Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020 S3-5.1: Schedule 3 clause 5.1: meet ASIC Regulatory Guide 271 for internal dispute resolution

For banking and non-bank lending, an accredited person or data holder meets the internal dispute resolution requirements if its processes comply with the provisions of ASIC Regulatory Guide 271 (as in force from time to time, read as applying to CDR consumer complaints, accredited persons and data holders) on standards for commitment and culture, enabling complaints, resourcing, responsiveness, objectivity and fairness, policy and procedures, data collection, analysis and internal reporting and continuous improvement; outsourcing internal dispute resolution; acknowledgement; the content of responses; maximum response timeframes; multi-tier processes; customer advocates; links to external dispute resolution; and systemic issues.
