The Registrar may, by written notice, direct an accredited person not to make consumer data requests, or a data holder not to respond to them, for up to 10 days where it reasonably believes this is necessary for the security, integrity and stability of the Register or database, specifying the scope and period, with an opportunity to be heard before or promptly after. Despite anything else in the rules, the participant must not make requests, or disclose in response to requests, contrary to the direction (civil penalty up to $50,000 for an individual and $250,000 for a body corporate).
