Build, Acquire and Implement – COBIT 2019

COBIT 2019 BAI07.08: BAI07.08 Perform a post-implementation review

A review after implementation confirms the outcome and results, draws out lessons learned and produces an action plan, comparing how the new or changed service actually performs and what it actually delivers with what was expected: procedures make sure that the review identifies, assesses and reports whether enterprise requirements were satisfied, the expected benefits achieved, the system judged usable, stakeholder expectations met, any unintended effects arose, key risks were mitigated, and the change, release and deployment processes worked well; process owners and IT technical management are consulted on the measures of success, requirements and benefits; the review follows the organisational change management process and involves process owners and, where fitting, third parties; needs from outside business and IT, such as internal audit, risk management and compliance, are taken into account; and an action plan for the issues found is agreed and carried out with process owners and IT technical management.
