Risk analysis and assessment for network and information security is performed regularly, at least once a year, and whenever objectives, operating conditions, infrastructure, activities or processes within scope change significantly. It is a documented process under the Article 5 internal rules, naming the levels of risk the entity will not accept and the responsibilities of everyone involved at each stage. The methodology must yield comparable, reasonably objective and repeatable results; it is approved by the head of the entity and made available to the participants. Annex 3 supplies a recommended method: identify information assets, identify threats per asset, score impact and likelihood on five-point scales, multiply to a risk score, prioritise into three bands (17 to 25, 8 to 17, 1 to 8) and treat accordingly, using a risk register. From the assessment the entity prepares a mitigation plan with, at minimum, proportionate measures for unacceptable risks, the resources needed, timelines and responsible persons.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
