To manage construction waste: one credit where targets for non-hazardous and hazardous waste are set in cubic metres or tonnes per 100 square metres, procedures minimise waste against them, waste is monitored with targets reviewed, a named individual is responsible and an audit carried out before demolishing existing buildings or hard surfaces maximises recovery for high-value reuse; a second credit where the waste generated meets the manual's benchmark; and one credit where a significant share of the non-hazardous waste from construction and demolition is diverted from landfill through a site waste management plan with the diversion recorded by waste stream (the Wst 01 minimum applies from Very Good).
