To avoid, reduce and delay rainfall discharge and prevent watercourse pollution: two credits where a flood risk assessment specific to the site, covering all current and future sources confirms a low annual probability of flooding, or one credit for a medium or high probability site outside the functional floodplain with resilience measures such as raised ground floor levels or flood-resilient construction; up to two credits where peak run-off rates and volumes for the 1-in-1-year and 1-in-100-year events with climate change allowance are no greater than the pre-development values, with drainage designed by an appropriate consultant to the national guidance; and one credit for minimising watercourse pollution through source control and treatment of run-off from parking and other polluting areas, oil separators or equivalent and a pollution prevention strategy, with on-site attenuation and infiltration where appropriate.
