BREEAM - Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method Man 05: Man 05 Aftercare

To provide first-year aftercare: one credit for aftercare support including a meeting with the occupier before or at occupation, on-site facilities management training with a walkabout of the systems, and at least a month of initial support with longer-term contact; one credit for seasonal commissioning over the first twelve months, testing systems under full occupation across seasons and fine-tuning them (the minimum standard at Excellent and Outstanding); and one credit for a post-occupancy evaluation commitment covering occupant satisfaction and energy and water performance against design targets, with lessons shared.
