To design for visual performance and comfort: a prerequisite that every fluorescent lamp, compact types included, runs on a high-frequency ballast (the minimum standard at every rating); one credit for a glare control strategy through form, layout or design that does not increase lighting energy or conflict with lighting controls; up to four credits (building type dependent) for daylighting meeting good-practice daylight factors and uniformity or the alternative daylight illuminance criteria in the relevant building areas; one credit for an adequate view out from relevant areas within a set distance of a window; and one credit for internal and external lighting designed to the appropriate illuminance standards with zoned occupant controls.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
