Verification procedures must show that the HACCP plan, or the site's equivalent food safety plan, together with the controls that rely on prerequisite programmes, is still effective. Typical activities are internal audits, a review of records showing limits that were exceeded, review of complaints from authorities and customers, and review of withdrawals and recalls; results are recorded and passed to the HACCP team.
