Transport documentation and emergency information (Part 11) – Australian Dangerous Goods Code Edition 7.8 (Consignor and Transport Duties)

Australian Dangerous Goods Code Edition 7.8 (Consignor and Transport Duties) 11.1.1.4.1: The dangerous goods description: UN number, proper shipping name, class, subsidiary hazards, packing group, package types, number and aggregate quantity

What does 11.1.1.4.1 require?

For each type of dangerous goods the transport document states the UN number, the proper shipping name (or the name shown on the packaging), the class or division, each subsidiary hazard, the packing group, a description of each package or receptacle type (such as drum or IBC), the number of packages of each type, and, the aggregate quantity (not needed for empty uncleaned packagings) for each item with a different name, UN number or packing group; salvage packagings carry an estimated quantity. Aggregate quantity may be given as total capacity or mass, or as receptacle counts with their capacities. Inner packagings of combination packagings need not be itemised.
