Where a PIN has been issued and no inspector has been required to review it, the person complies with it within the time the notice specifies. Within 7 days of issue the person (or, for a worker, the PCBU) may ask the regulator to appoint an inspector to review it, which stays the notice until the inspector decides; a confirmed PIN is taken to be an improvement notice issued by the inspector (ss 100 to 102).
