Australia Policy for the Responsible Use of AI in Government (Version 2.0) 2.5: Create an internal register of in-scope AI use cases and share it with the DTA every six months

Within twelve months of the policy taking effect each agency must create a register of its in-scope AI use cases, which lets the accountable officials record the accountable use case owner for each. From the point the register is created the agency must share it with the DTA every six months, following the sharing instructions in the Standard for accountability. The standard lists the minimum fields; agencies may add fields and may reuse an existing register. The impact assessment section adds that each in-scope use case must be entered and kept current, with the risk rating and whoever now owns it.
