Australia Policy for the Responsible Use of AI in Government (Version 2.0) 2.3: Designate accountable officials under the Standard for accountability and notify the DTA

Each agency must designate one or more accountable officials who take accountability for implementing the policy. The designation and the officials' responsibilities follow the DTA's Standard for accountability, which sets what the role covers (the standard is where the duties to maintain the register of use case owners and to report high-risk use cases to the DTA are placed). The agency must notify the DTA by email when it designates its accountable officials and whenever they change. The role existed in version 1.1; version 2.0 expands it with the register and reporting duties.
