Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Large Scale Facility (Version 3.1) C56: Decontamination equipment status labelled

What does C56 require?

Each autoclave or other heat-based unit meant for decontaminating GMOs, an LWTS included, must carry a clear label showing that its effectiveness monitoring, calibration and other maintenance have been done as C25 (or, for an LWTS, C26) requires and in line with the Decontamination Methods in the Regulator's GMO transport, storage and disposal guidelines (the version current at the time). The guideline suggests a notice on the equipment giving the monitoring and calibration dates and results as one way to comply, and that any autoclave not meant for GMO decontamination should be labelled so nobody uses it for that by mistake.
