Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Large Scale Facility (Version 3.1) C53: Chemical treatment effective against the GMO

What does C53 require?

Where chemical treatment is used to decontaminate, it must work against the particular kind of GMO being treated. The guideline recommends AS/NZS 2243.3 as a source on choosing and using chemical disinfectants, says the properties of the GMOs should still be taken into account, and notes that C68 requires evidence of effectiveness for process waste methods.
