Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Large Scale Facility (Version 3.1) C25: Monitoring and calibrating heat-based decontamination equipment

What does C25 require?

Each autoclave or other heat-based unit in the facility (not counting the LWTS) used to decontaminate GMOs must be (a) monitored for effectiveness (i) monthly if used often, or (ii) at or ahead of every decontamination cycle where use is only occasional, and (b) calibrated every year, following the Decontamination Methods in the Regulator's GMO transport, storage and disposal guidelines (the version current at the time). The guideline notes that C68 requires these monitoring and calibration records.
