Where an autoclave or other heat-based equipment is used to decontaminate GMOs, its effectiveness must be monitored, with the results recorded, as Section 3.1 of the GMO transport, storage and disposal guidelines the Regulator issues (in their current form) requires. The OGTR annual inspection checklist checks this as effectiveness monitored monthly.
