Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Constant Temperature Room (Version 2.1) B10: Work not allowed in a PC2 constant temperature room

What does B10 require?

Unless the Regulator agrees otherwise in writing, the room must not be used for: (a) dealings with any GMO that a licence condition or legislation says needs containment above PC2; (b) housing any animals, invertebrates and aquatic animals included, except animals in diapause or some other dormant state; (c) any GMO dealing done outside a primary container, or with the primary container open, except GM animal tissue cultures and GM multi-cellular plant tissue cultures free of GM micro-organisms, and whole GM plants free of GM micro-organisms that either carry no seed, pollen or other propagule, or are kept in a plant growth cabinet screened so seeds and pollen cannot escape; (d) dealings that produce at least 25 litres of GMO liquid culture in a vessel; and (e) other work the Regulator has notified in writing.
