Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Animal Facility (Version 3.2) B31: Annual testing of testable backflow devices

What does B31 require?

This condition applies only where dealings there use GM micro-organisms. Any testable backflow prevention device on the facility's water supply must be tested, and pass, every 12 months; the test follows AS 2845.3 and is done by a licensed plumber holding accreditation for testing backflow devices. Failures must be fixed and the device retested until it passes, and three years of test results must be retained, and made available to the Regulator on request.
