Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Animal Facility (Version 3.2) B23: Users can see the decontamination equipment status

What does B23 require?

This condition applies only where dealings there use GM micro-organisms. Where the holder owns or controls an autoclave or other heat-based unit intended for decontaminating GMOs, it must make sure anyone about to use it can find out whether its effectiveness monitoring, calibration and other maintenance have been done as the Decontamination Methods in the Regulator's GMO transport, storage and disposal guidelines require. The guideline suggests a notice on the equipment giving the dates and results as one way to do this.
