Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Animal Facility (Version 3.2) B22: Monthly monitoring and annual calibration of heat-based decontamination

What does B22 require?

This condition applies only where dealings there use GM micro-organisms. Where the holder owns or controls an autoclave or other heat-based equipment used to decontaminate GMOs, that equipment must be (a) checked monthly for effectiveness and (b) calibrated every year, with the results documented as the Decontamination Methods in the Regulator's GMO transport, storage and disposal guidelines specify; the guideline notes those guidelines give the detail.
