An NDIS provider keeps records of a kind prescribed by the NDIS rules that relate to a claim for an NDIS amount, or to the support the claim relates to, for 7 years from the day of the claim, or any shorter period the rules prescribe (civil penalty 120 penalty units). Participants who claim have the matching duty. The rules prescribing the record kinds should be checked when made.
