Prepayments are allowed only for assistive technology (including vehicle modifications) and home modifications above the set value or custom made, with an accepted quote and a service agreement providing for deposits or milestones, a final payment of at least 10% held until the support is ready for use, and refund of unspent amounts if supply ends; other supports need the NDIA's prior written approval. Subscriptions are limited to consumables and assistive technology, under a plain English agreement, within the annual caps, billed monthly (or less often for small subscriptions) with no exit penalty on a month's notice. Co-payments are not allowed except where the participant chooses a customisation that is not reasonable and necessary.
