A person must not make a statement or give information or a document to the Commissioner or a Commission officer for the Act, knowing it is false or misleading or omits something that makes it misleading. Breach is an offence (for a serious contravention by an NDIS provider, up to 5 years' imprisonment or 1,000 penalty units) and a civil penalty.
