In an alpine area, external doorways must be installed so that snow or ice does not obstruct the door opening; external trafficable structures forming part of the means of egress must remain usable, as far as practicable, under snow; and the building must be built so that snow or ice is not shed onto the allotment, adjoining allotment, road or public space in a way that obstructs a means of egress to a road or open space or otherwise endangers people.
