Officers must exercise due diligence (WHS Act s 27), including taking reasonable steps to ensure the business has appropriate processes for consulting workers and for consulting, cooperating and coordinating with other duty holders. Workers must take reasonable care, follow reasonable instructions and cooperate with notified policies and procedures such as those for consultation at the workplace (s 28).
