Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals s15: Section 15: identify other regulatory controls on the chemical, including Poisons Standard schedule, carcinogen prohibitions or licensing, AgVet and industrial chemicals listing, and international conventions

What does s15 require?

Section 15 should give regulatory information not found elsewhere, such as whether the chemical is covered by the Montreal Protocol, the Stockholm, Rotterdam or Basel Conventions, or MARPOL, and Australian requirements such as its schedule in the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Medicines and Poisons (giving the schedule number), any prohibition, notification or licensing requirement including for carcinogens, AgVet Code and control-of-use laws, and the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019 (listing on the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals, conditions of use, or introduction under a permit). Information from an AICIS assessment report is recommended.
