Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals
Chapter 3, SDS sections 9 to 16: properties, reactivity, toxicology, ecology, disposal, transport, regulatory and other information – Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals

Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals s11-general: Section 11: present toxicological data for each GHS health hazard class in the set order, based on expert advice and consistent with the classification, listing classes with no data as 'not available'

What does s11-general require?

Section 11 should rest on expert toxicology advice and the GHS criteria and give a short but complete account of acute and chronic effects that matches the classification and the data behind it, in this order: acute toxicity; skin corrosion or irritation; serious eye damage or irritation; respiratory or skin sensitisation; germ cell mutagenicity; carcinogenicity; reproductive toxicity; specific target organ toxicity after single and after repeated exposure; and aspiration hazard. A class with no data should still appear, marked as having no data available, and other non-classifiable hazards (such as enhanced skin absorption) may be added. Data should relate to the chemical as used; for a mixture without its own data, the hazardous ingredients above cut-off concentrations should be covered or bridging principles used and named. Unsupported statements such as 'toxic' or 'safe if properly used', and phrases such as 'not applicable' or blank spaces, should not be used. Effects should be described precisely (for example allergic versus irritant contact dermatitis), large data sets summarised by route, and relevant negative results supported.
