At the plant design stage, fall risks may be eliminated or minimised by providing steps and handrails on vehicles, building systems into silos and overhead conveyors to prevent falls, making sure people who maintain, repair or clean the plant can do so safely with safe access and exit, and considering the safety of passengers.
